(Gibson) The new Mr. Big album, Live From The Living Room, came about as a result of acoustic promotional appearances in Japan to talk up the band's latest studio album, What If?Speaking to BraveWords.com's Mitch Lafon, Billy Sheehan said acoustic mode was not entirely unknown to the band – after all, they hit #1 with their 1991 single "To Be With You."
"When we go out to do promo tours and stuff, we end up doing a lot acoustically and we hang out backstage with acoustic guitars and such, so we end up playing a lot," Sheehan said. "This is not completely foreign to us – singing and playing acoustic instruments quietly is something we do a lot of off stage. You have to step back and think through what you're going to do because there's no giant amp behind you." more on this story
