(RockAAA) Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine almost had to bail on last week's Big Four gig at Yankee Stadium due to neck problems he attributes to "years of headbanging." Dave's specific health issue, stenosis, is a neck and spine condition that is actually an abnormal narrowing of the blood vessel or organ. The show went on and Mustaine, risking paralysis if things went wrong, played through the pain to get through the band's set.
Waiting in the wings to jump in if Megadeth's plug had been pulled were San Francisco metallers Exodus. This news was revealed during an interview at the stadium with Slayer guitarist Kerry King, who commented on the close call, and the effort Exodus made to make it happen, if it was going to happen. more on this story
