3 Inches Of Blood Playing Film Premiere After Party

09/15/2011
.
3 Inches Of Blood's cover of the classic Rush song, "Anthem" is featured in the film Lloyd The Conqueror" and the band has announced they will help celebrate the premiere.

Here is the official word: On Saturday, September 24th the film "Lloyd The Conqueror", staring Mike Smith (Trailer Park Boys) and Brian Posehn, will premiere as part of the Calgary International Film Festival at the Globe Theatre at 7:00 PM.

Directly following the premiere, 3 Inches Of Blood will be performing at the official after party. A sure sell out, the event begins at 9:00 PM at Dickens Pub.

About Lloyd The Conqueror: When perpetual slacker Lloyd (Evan Williams) and his two best friends ask their history professor, Derek (Trailer Park Boys' Mike Smith), for an extra-credit assignment, he challenges them to unseat him as the dread lord of his deteriorating LARPing (Live Action Role Playing) league. But this will be no simple grade-grab. Getting to Derek will mean battling a string of dedicated (and downright deranged) Demons & Dwarves players, including a pack of bloodthirsty Danes and a somewhat misplaced Vulcan.

Featuring a cast of cult-comic favourites including Brian Posehn, Harland Williams and Fubar's Andrew Sparacino (who also appears in A Legend Of Whitey), and directed by Calgary's Michael Peterson, Lloyd The Conqueror is a no-holds-barred fantasy romp that casts a 12-sided eye on a much-misunderstood subculture. Whether you're a die-hard D&D fan or a newbie to all things geek, get ready to be won over by Lloyd and his merry band of adventurers.
