(Gibson) Comedian Ricky Gervais claims a version of Van Halen's "Jump" featured in his latest TV show is so bad that the band tried to have it banned from being broadcast. An Idiot Abroad: The Bucket List, is the second season of a program created by Gervais and Stephen Merchant and featuring their friend Karl Pilkington thrown into a variety of international situations. Gervais told The Sun that Pilkington's rendition of "Jump," performed with an American glee club, was plagued by nerves and forgotten lyrics.
"Van Halen are trying to put a stop on it, because it is that bad," Gervais said at the official launch of the series for Sky1. "But Sky have got a blanket agreement so we can put it out in England. But we can't put it out in America or on the DVD." more on this story
