Five Finger Death Punch's Wildest Mosh Pit

09/08/2011
.
(RockAAA) Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook has revealed the most surreal gig of his life took place in one war-torn with American troops – sporting full armor and weapons – moshing in the front row.

And the band were put up in one of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein's palaces where he says the band were treated to a bunch of perks including free calls back to the US.

"It was crazy (soldiers moshing with weapons on). They were so excited! I had a talk with a few of the guys and they were like, 'they seem to send us a lot of country music. I guess they assume that especially some of the guys from the south everyone's into country music.'," Hook explained to Up On The Sun. "But the fellas explained to me that they are all high-energy, testosterone driver warriors that they want heavy metal, so they were so excited we were there. They were just moshing and stage diving and the whole nine yards. I remember at one point there was a lineup of military police along the stage just to keep them in control. more on this story
