Alberta Cross have announced a new EP release plus a fall tour with Portugal. The Man. Here are the details: The Rolling Thunder EP will be released on September 27th via ATO Records. The EP was recorded at world famous studios Electric Ladyland in New York City and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. It was inspired by time spent across the globe - from a cottage in Wales to the haunting seclusion of the North Carolina woods. Thelimited edition EP will only be available at the band's concerts and indie retail stores, satiating fans until the release of an entirely new full-length album in early 2012.
Alberta Cross will support their new EP this fall on an extensive national tour with psych-folk buzz act Portugal. The Man, launching September 28th in Santa Clara, CA.
The band will also perform at the Virgin Mobile Free Fest in Maryland and the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. They will be playing new songs, recently perfected during residencies at The Casbah in San Diego andVelvet Jones in Santa Barbara, but will also be digging into their back catalog for long-time fans.
