(Rock News Desk) Fans of an axed cult radio station in Glasgow, Scotland, have vowed to boycott all advertisers which support the "rebranded" output that's taken its place on air.Rock Radio was formerly part of a UK network which amongst many achievements provided the FM service for the iconic Download rock festival for an unheard three years in a row, boycotted AC/DC until they added a Scottish date to their Black Ice World Tour and secured specialist shows from leading UK rock magazines Metal Hammer and Classic Rock.
It was experiencing an almost constant explosion in listener figures – but owners GMG Radio, who specialise in providing pop-chart led stations, claimed they couldn't sell advertising on a station with "rock" in its title. more on this story
