(hennemusic) Bret Michaels is giving back to his community in a big and personal way. This Thursday, the Poison frontman will announce plans for the donation of the Bret Michael's Hospitality and Music Room inside St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix."I want to give something back to the hospital that helped save my life," said Michaels. "Phoenix is my home, and I'm proud to be a part of this community."
In April 2010, Michaels was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening type of stroke that causes bleeding in the fluid-filled spaces around the base of the brain. St. Joseph's is the home of Barrow Neurological Institute and Michaels was treated by Barrow neurosurgeons. more on this story
