The Sword have tapped Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III as the band's new full-time drummer according to Loudwire. Loudwire reports that Vela is: officially taking over the skins from Kevin Fender, who had acted as a temporary drummer for the band since early 2010.
Founding Sword drummer Trivett Wingo (pictured above) quit the band in the fall of 2009, just five dates into the band's 'Warp Riders' headlining tour of North America (and immediately following the Sword's stint opening for Metallica in Australia, New Zealand and Japan). more on this story
