(Gibson) Vinyl's not dead. Indeed, it costs more than ever if you want the right disc. An early copy of Led Zeppelin's first album, simply titled Led Zeppelin, has sold on eBay for £2,200 (approximately $3,500).This example of a first Led Zeppelin pressing is rare: it has a turquoise sleeve, a Superhype label credit and an all-important – to collectors – "label matrix" of "Side 1: 588171 A//1" and "Side 2: 588171 B//1." Is the music any different to that on your old copy/CD/MP3 version of Led Zeppelin? No. But the seller stated, "This is the most perfect example that I have ever seen and I think that it is very unlikely that you'll find a better one." more on this story
