(hennemusic) "Lulu," the collaborative work between Lou Reed and Metallica, sees its release on Halloween, which somehow seems appropriate: based on the initial reaction of Metallica fans, this album may scare the hell out a lot of them. The project is definitely going to take Metallica fans out of their comfort zone, as evident by the fan-created version of the first track, "The View" – which sees Reed's vocals removed and the 6-minute piece trimmed to about half its original length.
"Lulu" also took the musicians out of their comfort zone, and both sides knew they'd be stepping out on a creative ledge. There is now some video clips from Reed and Metallica explaining various aspects of the project. Check them out here
