(Gibson) Sir Cliff Richard, who started out in the '50s as Britain's answer to Elvis (backed by guitar pioneer Hank B. Marvin and The Shadows), still has dreams of cracking the one territory where he's never made it big, the U.S.A.He may have recently turned 70, but Cliff recently told Woman's Weekly magazine: "Olivia Newton-John and I have talked about joining forces to find a Las Vegas venue to perform at. Elton John said recently, 'I can't understand why you never cracked it.' And I can't either. It's the land of rock 'n' roll – like Wimbledon is to tennis. more on this story
