(Freeman) You Say France & I Whistle has signed a worldwide deal with SPV GmbH. The band will release their debut album "Angry Men" in January of 2012 in North America. They will be following up their mini tour in Germany with a Popkomm showcase and a bigger European tour. Furthermore they are scheduled for live appearances in North America to play at Culture Collide and CMJ. You Say France & I Whistle was born out of the frustration of having played in too many "cool" pop bands without any love. In their cold Swedish environment, the band members wanted to share some colorfulness that could be spread throughout the people. But when every stage had a smoke machine it wasn't that easy to reach out. Though with a little bit of creative playfulness and a lot of hugs the band has since succeeded to find a mixture of loving warmth and energetic frustration that seems to be able to reach out to almost anyone. Frank Uhle (SPV General Manager) comments: "You Say France & I Whistle are one of the most innovative and pro-active bands in Europe. They are a perfect example how to use today΄s synergies of music, entertainment, social media and teaming up with big brands for commercials." Peter Εstedt (YSF&IW Mgmt.) adds: "We are really excited to be part of one of the big important independent labels in the world and to have the opportunity to use one of the strongest distribution systems to spread our music to our fans. SPV is really the top option when we selected which label we wanted to work with."
