The footage promotes the new season, as a handful of contestants make it through the audition process and on to the series, looking to launch a career in music.Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson are all set to return as judges for the new season, which debuts Sunday, January 22, 2012.
The Aerosmith singer can be seen several times throughout the new promo, telling one singer "You made me cry, that's how good that was," while hugging another contestant and even slow dancing and giving a little kiss on the cheek to another. more on this story
