(Gibson) The Eagles will celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversary with a retrospective tour, according to Joe Walsh. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the veteran guitarist said fans can expect something different from past Eagles tours. "Everybody's seen our show, so we have to put together something new," Walsh revealed. "We've been archiving so much stuff from the band's early days, concert footage and interviews and stuff. Those will be the visuals to go along with the songs. We'll also revisit some old songs and some new stuff."
Walsh went on to say the tour will be staged in the second half of 2012, and will last four or five months. In the meantime, he has a solo album slated for release next spring, and hopes to tour with his old band, the James Gang. more on this story
