(Gibson) As Paul Simon promotes his latest album, So Beautiful or So What, he discussed one song in particular with the Daily Telegraph. The metaphysical "Love is the Eternal Sacred Light" features God claiming the Big Bang was all a joke he made up once when bored. In Simon's song, God is scanning radio stations while cruising down the highway. Simon comments on the song, saying, "God's not into pop music. He likes the gospel shows." At 69, the songwriter says he's still looking forwards. "What's the other choice? Go away? Be quiet? This is what I am, this is what I do," he says. "I make up songs and try to make them interesting. Stand back and let me get on with it." more on this story
