Usher is set to headline the 2011 Essence Music Festival which is being held July 1, 2, and 3 in New Orleans. He joins the previously announced lineup which also includes Chaka Kahn, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and New Edition.
Also joining the line-up are Morris Day & The Time, Loose Ends, Noel Gourdin, and Timothy Bloom.
Usher is set to headline the main stage of the Superdome on opening night, Friday, July 1.
