Bruno Mars On Top Again and Announces Relief Efforts

05/19/2011
.
Bruno Mars' third single "The Lazy Song" from his debut album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" has reached no. 1 in the U.K.

This chart position marks Mars' third consecutive single to reach #1 in the U.K., preceded by "Grenade" and "Just The Way You Are."

In other news, Mars will donate proceeds from his upcoming performance at Alabama's Jubilee CityFest celebration "Bama's Big Bang" to the Alabama Tornado Disaster Relief Fund via the American Red Cross.

"Bama's Big Bang," which will feature the state's largest firework spectacular, will be held this Friday, May 20th, at Montgomery's Riverwalk Amphitheater.

What's more, Mars has just launched an exclusive eBay auction to further his efforts for the Alabama Tornado Disaster Relief Fund. An ultimate package of exclusive and rare Bruno Mars memorabilia, most of which is not sold anywhere, is now available for auction. The package includes a signed and framed 12 x 18 show poster from the December 19th, 2010, sold-out concert at the Blaisdell Arena in Hawaii (Bruno's 'coming home' concert), a limited edition Doo-Wops & Hooligans box set, a lifetime membership to the official Bruno Mars fan club, a signed and framed set list from the opening night of the Doo-Wops & Hooligans tour at Roseland Ballroom in New York on May 4th, 2011, the Bruno Mars official Snuggie, a pair of signed Pro-Mark drumsticks, and an official fan club poster. The 10-day auction will close May 26th at 7:02pm PDT. To place your bid, go here.
