(Gibson) Kid Rock has presented five Detroit community groups with checks for $10,000. The star, who hails from the Detroit suburbs himself, gave checks to the Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit, Youthville Detroit, Friends of Belle Isle, Habitat for Humanity and the Detroit Recreation Department.
The Detroit News reports that Rock, wearing a "Made In Detroit" hat said: "I'm just happy I can do it. This city and the surrounding areas have given me a lot in the course of my ascension to be where I'm at today. This is just a start." more on this story
