(Stunt) Cloud Cult have announced a Spring headlining tour featuring a new cellist and new visuals. This all happens as Cloud Cult is coming out of a trying time during which lead singer and songwriter Craig Minowa experienced health issues and subsequently went through heart surgery. The band found resounding support from fans and personally thanked them with a direct message: "The loving emails and positive energy were incredibly appreciated and powerful during the darkest parts of the experience. The heart surgery was a big success, and Craig now has more energy than ever!" Now, the band returns to the stage, refreshed and rejuvenated, to do one of the things they enjoy most – performing for the numerous fans that have supported them throughout the years and making new friends along the way. As a pre-launch to the tour, Cloud Cult is releasing an elaborate new video which is set to premiere on Mashable.com on Monday May 9th. This will be the first in a series of videos Cloud Cult is doing in conjunction with Light Chasers, the band's newest album. Less than two weeks after the video premiere, the band will embark on their second headlining tour of the US in support of the new album introducing a new cellist – Daniel Zamzow – as well as new visuals which come in the form of a reintroduced back screen video. This time around they will be pre-filmed and synched with the music – a must see. The tour kicks off on May 21st at the Outland Live in Columbus, OH where the band will be performing songs from Light Chasers as well as fan favorites and some new songs from past albums that have never been played live before. Bringing their grand shows to a new level, their unique brand of orchestral indie rock will at once titillate new fans and gratify current fans and keeps them on the road through the summer with new dates being added daily.
