(Gibson) Duff McKagan has led a colorful life, playing integral roles in Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and now his own band, Loaded. But there has been a dark side, as well: a long-term battle with addiction that McKagan has chronicled in his new autobiography, It's So Easy and Other Lies.McKagan told New Jersey's WDHA-FM radio (as reported on Music-News.com), "You get a cross-section of my life. I almost lost a battle to addiction and I kind of had to relive it, but in a conversation where you understand what's going on in my life. I could tell you how much I drank or how many drugs I took in a day, but a normal person would just not understand that. I don't even know if the book was even any good. It sounds lame, but it was just so many damn words and endless hours of writing."
Even with the autobiography out of the way, McKagan says he still has a lot of things to check off on his bucket list. "You know there's a hundred things I could think of I have left to do, but it's been great so far," he said. "I've never really sat there and thought about it; about what I've done so far, and how does it feel. I probably should do that one day, but it's not happening yet. Probably a good sign." more on this story
