(Rock News Desk) Saxon's new charity fundraising idea has been so successful they're extending the offer to more fans on their upcoming UK tour. The band will play a dozen shows in April, and at all but one of them, fans have the opportunity to attend their afternoon soundcheck , in return for a £10 donation to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and Childline. The original invitation was for 20 fans per show – but it's been so popular Saxon have now added more slots for each gig. Singer Biff Byford says: "If you're lucky enough to be allocated a apace, you turn up at the stage door at 4pm and you must put £10 cash into the charity box. I think this is a first." more on this story
