(Gibson) Former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri says his request to rejoin the band on stage was denied by frontman Josh Homme."I saw [Queens of the Stone Age] play in L.A.," Oliveri told UGO.com. "I was down there and I mentioned to them, 'Why don't I come up and do 'Millionaire' or something, and sing it and not play bass?' [Homme] was like, 'Nah, I don't think that's a good idea yet.'" Oliveri, who left Queens of the Stone Age in 2004, now plays bass for the newly reunited Kyuss – renamed Kyuss Lives! Homme also once played in the band. Despite the recent rebuff, Oliveri says he and Homme are on good terms. more on this story
