(Gibson) Though the threat of demolition has loomed large over Ringo Starr's Liverpool birthplace since 2005, it now seems more real than ever.The final demolition notice was issued this week for 9 Madryn Street, a dilapidated red brick building with boarded windows. Hundreds more Victorian terraced houses are also expected to be bulldozed. This week Liverpool City Council leader Joe Anderson told Clickliverpool.com, "The community in that area have been waiting for 11 years to have these houses demolished and believe they have waited long enough." more on this story
