(42West) Jay Sean is celebrating his birthday this Saturday, March 26th and Jay's birthday wish is for fans, friends and family to support a cause very close to his heart and donate to Keep a Child Alive (KCA) in order to give life to those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Jay, who is known and loved all over the world for hit songs including his latest single "Hit the Lights" from the forthcoming album Freeze Time, became involved with KCA in 2010 and participated in their Buy Life and Digital Death campaigns. Having recently returned from a trip to South Africa where he met HIV-positive patients and children orphaned by AIDS at KCA-funded sites, Jay remains committed to helping KCA in their global efforts. Check out this video for highlights from his trip here "I love being an artist because it allows me to do what I love for a living...music. Along with my "job" comes a platform which I can use to do something that can make a difference," said Jay Sean. "I have been blessed with many wonderful fans and it makes me realize how we TOGETHER can make a positive impact. Having been to two KCA sites in South Africa, I experienced how donations from all over the world are really making a difference in peoples' lives. It's up to all of us to help each other." KCA provides life beyond the pills for those affected by HIV/AIDS and understands that beyond taking medication, there are a range of services necessary to support life. Donations from Jay's birthday will help fund programs that provide orphan care, treatment, food, housing, love and support – the things that we take for granted but that make all the difference. KCA currently funds 11 clinical and orphan care sites in India, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and South Africa.
