Jon Bon Jovi Says Steve Jobs Is Killing The Music Business
03/16/2011
.
(Rock News Desk) Jon Bon Jovi says kids are missing out on the magic and mystery of buying music and says Apple boss Steve Jobs is personally responsible. The singer says digital selling has removed the individual experience of choosing, playing and falling in love with albums. He believes that loss is a major contributor to the collapse of the record industry, and the iPod creator should answer for it. "When I was a kid it was a magical time. Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to 10, holding the sleeve, closing your eyes and getting lost in an album," Bon Jovi tells the Sunday Times. "They've missed out on taking your allowance money and making a decision based on the sleeve – not knowing what a record daunted like, but looking at a couple pictures and imagining it instead." more on this story
