Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bon Jovi Songwriter Todd Cerney Dies

(Gibson) Nashville-based songwriter, musician, singer and producer Todd Cerney has died. After suffering a brain seizure last November, Cerney was diagnosed with stage four melanoma cancer. He succumbed to the disease earlier today, March 14, according to his Caring Bridge profile. Cerney was born in Detroit and grew up in Ohio, but has been working in Nashville since the mid-'70s. He's written songs for and with some of the biggest artists in music, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, Brian May, Bryan Adams, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, Bad English and Loverboy. more on this story
