(Gibson) The Darkness performed their first reunion show at the Norwich Waterfront in the U.K. on Sunday. Vocalist/guitarist Justin Hawkins donned a pair of tiger stripe pants and a goatee/curly moustache combo for the show, leaving behind the striped cat suits of the band's first run around the block but once again with a white Gibson Les Paul slung over his shoulder.Speaking of interesting facial hair, fans of bass player Frankie Poullain will be pleased to know that his trademark handlebar moustache was present and accounted for. Poullain was replaced by the band's guitar tech, Richie Edwards, in 2005 but is back holding down the low end.
The band are currently working on their third studio album, and will make a number of high-profile appearances during 2011, including the Download Festival. Speaking about the reunion, Justin Hawkins said, "The main thing for us is to make sure that musically we turn the experience into something positive again. We've been remembering why it was so much fun in the first place, just four men making loud music in a room." more on this story
