Genesis Publications have announced a new book by and about The Faces. While a release date was not mentioned in the announcement, here is what they had to say: For the first time Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones tell the band's story in a book illustrated with over 200 photographs, many from the musician's archives, and rare items of memorabilia.
'We wrote 'Stay With Me' backstage, before we went on. Rod said, 'Come up with a really great lick and I'll come up with the words,' and we just had it going. Boom.' - Ronnie Wood
'It was parties and rock 'n' roll, everything you could think of a rock star should be doing... And we did it to the fullest and beyond.' - Kenney Jones
Documenting the chaotic intensity of the group's career - the incendiary live shows, the on-stage laughs and off-stage high-lives, the private jets, groupies, drink, drugs, clothes, haircuts and Holiday Inns - Faces: 1969-75 is published in a craftsman-bound limited edition of only 1975 numbered copies.
Each leather bound book is signed by the authors who have been instrumental, down to Ronnie Wood's own choice of colours for the binding.
'Great haircuts, good clothes, fit birds, laughs and fun, football, drink and quality gear and The Music.' - Paul Weller
Faces: 1969-75 is introduced by new band members Glen Matlock and Mick Hucknall, plus long-time Faces fans Slash, Paul Westerberg and Paul Weller.
'One of the most iconic bands of all time. The Faces' brand of pub swagger had the right combination of grit, charm, mischief, soul, style and wicked sense of humour…' - Slash
