(Rock News Desk) Dan Peek of the band America has died in his sleep at the age of 60, his former bandmates have confirmed. Original members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell remain with the band, who released their most recent album in 2007. Yesterday Bunnell paid tribute to Peek, saying: "I am so sorry to learn of Dan's passing. We created lasting music together and experienced a life we could never have imagined – a joyous time full of excitement and laughter.
"Although we went our separate ways his contribution to our music have always been present and will last for ever." more on this story
