(Gibson) An Elvis fan who purchased film footage of the King in 1961 is about to receive in excess of $15,000 when the film sells at auction.According to the Daily Mail, the Elvis footage was shot by the Chicago police department, who were investigating complaints about Elvis' lewd movements on stage.
Elvis collector and expert Bills Ellis, 67, from Rhyl, North Wales, paid about $4 for the film in 1961. He said of the footage of Elvis in his famed gold lame suit: "The film shows Elvis from the waist up and it looks like he's singing 'Baby, Let's Play House.' It is silent and was obviously taken by an amateur some distance from the stage." more on this story
