(RockAAA) Anvil were fading into obscurity before the movie made about their struggle shot them into the limelight. During a fulsome interview with Danish rockzine Diskant at the Copenhell Festival, Anvil drummer Robb Reiner talked about the impact, 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil' has had on his life, catapulting him from a C-list rocker into the sort of recognition he felt was only for superstars. "It's crazy, I'm a rocker, not a movie star, but it made us into movie stars. It turned Lips and I into very, very famous people.
"I never expected that kind of recognition. You know Paul McCartney knows who we are! We met Paul McCartney, and he went, 'hey it's the Anvil boys' and I'm like 'Paul McCartney know who I am?'" more on this story
