(Gibson) It's not surprising that many world-class athletes use Metallica songs to get themselves pumped for competition
except when they're a pair of synchronized swimmers. According to The Canadian Press, Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon and Elise Marcotte brought a little bit of metal into the genteel world of synchronized swimming. The two did a routine set to "Master of Puppets" during this weekend's world championships in Shanghai, China.
"It's pretty cool for our sport," Boudreau-Gagnon said. "It's new. Everyone in the rest of the world really thinks Metallica is a great routine physically. It's well received by the judges and the rest of the coaches around the world. We have made a good impact for sure." more on this story
