(Gibson) The Scorpions will release a 3D concert DVD in the next few months, the band's lead singer, Klaus Meine, has revealed. In an interview with ArabNews.com, Meine said the DVD, which features performances staged in the band's native Germany, is currently in the mixing phase. "You can actually feel the smoke string out of the guitar," said the veteran singer. "It is an incredible experience."Meine also revealed that The Scorpions will release a covers album, consisting mostly of classics from the '60s, later this year. "The '60s was the era for our inspiration," he explained. "Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones – they were our role models." The Scorpions are in the midst of their farewell tour. When asked why the group would cease to perform, the veteran vocalist said simply that the band wanted to finish "on a high note." "We owe it to ourselves and our fans," he explained. "We toured in 25 countries just last year. We want to finish off in style." more on this story
