(Gibson) Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker will release a book of his lyrics this October. According to The Guardian, the book is called Mother, Brother, Lover: Selected Lyrics.Cocker explained the books: "When [Pulp's lyrics] were reproduced on the record sleeves, it always used to say 'N.B. please do not read the words while listening to the recordings.' But I've accumulated a certain amount of work now and I think a lot of the appeal is that Faber have published a lot of poets I like. The idea that I could be allowed on the same shelf is very flattering. So I went back and looked at the words, and with that passage of time I realized some of them were alright."
Cocker and a reunited Pulp recently played Glastonbury and will perform at the Reading and Leeds festival in August. more on this story
