(Scoop) The Eagles performed a special concert to kick-off the three-day celebration of the Royal Wedding (of Prince Albert II of Monaco to Charlene Wittstock) on June 30, 2011 in Monaco. The couple offered this special concert by the Eagles in the Louis II Stadium for 15,000 people, including Monegasque citizens, residents, persons working in the Principality and people from neighbouring communities.
In addition to the concert by the Eagles, the festivities will also include a civil ceremony in the Throne Room of the Prince's palace, an open-air Mass on the Place du Palais; oceans of Perrier-Jouët Champagne; a multicourse dinner by the three-star French chef Alain Ducasse; a sound-and-light show presented by Jean Michel Jarre and fireworks.
With her marriage to the head of state of Principality of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock will become Princess consort of Monaco and gain the title, Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco. The celebrations are being attended by a guest list of global celebrities and heads of state.
The Eagles presented Prince Albert II and Miss Charlene Wittstock with a an autographed guitar as a wedding gift just before they hit the stage.
