(Gibson) Nick Valensi, guitarist for The Strokes, wants to keep his band going. Coming off a difficult five-year process for the new Strokes album, tentatively titled Angles, he said that he and his bandmates are committed to sticking together and making more music in a timelier fashion."I don't want to make an album every five years," Valensi told Rolling Stone. "I love being in this band, and I want it to be a career thing. It's so worth it – for all of us." The Strokes plan to tour on the album (due on March 22), and have already revealed their headlining slot at this year's Coachella Festival. "We want to come back strong but slowly, so we can grow live and also make new music," Valensi said. "We want to release albums quicker." more on this story
