The Strokes Eye A March Release

(Gibson) The new Strokes album is almost finished and will be released in March. Bass player Nikolai Fraiture has told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe that the album is currently being mixed. According to BBC Newsbeat Fraiture said: "Sonically, I feel it's the album which should have been made between Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth." After a series of solo projects from individual band members, this new album was recorded differently than in the past with Julian Casablanca recording vocals separately from the band. "Usually we're always in a room and changing stuff and doing it all together," Fraiture said. "It's all a learning experience." more on this story
