50 Years Ago Today The Beatles Took to the Cavern

(Gibson) It's been 50 years since the Beatles played their first gig at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.Cavern City Tours, who own the Cavern Club replica (the original was demolished in the '70s) will present a series of special Beatles events, including a show from the Mersey Beatles, a tribute band. The Guardian reports that the Liverpool City Council also will unveil a series of improvements, including improved illuminations to the famed Mathew Street, home of the original Cavern Club. more on this story
