Timothy B. Schmit Won't Be Retiring Anytime Soon

.
(Gibson) Eagles bassist and singer Timothy B. Schmit has no plans to retire. When asked about any plans to retire he told Spinner that he finds the idea quite strange. "The concept is absurd to me. I was shocked at the question. I felt like saying, 'Are you nuts? What are you talking about? What am I gonna do — sit on the couch and eat Bon Bons and watch TV? I don't want to do that.' I want to go on as long as I can, and there's quite a bit of that left." Schmit recently released the solo album Expando. "What this album showed me is I started to scratch the surface of some really good s--- here," he said. "I felt like I was discovering some new stuff, and I actually was reaching a little deeper maybe to come up with the good stuff. I think Expando is really my best work so far, and I always thought that "Friday Night" was more of a single than any of the others."
