The Day in Rock Digest for 2/1/11: While recovering from heart surgery, Bret Michaels suffered a massive drop in blood pressure, but his doctor found the cause and the singer is doing better again, reports People.com. "Bret suffered no setbacks and is fine. It's always good for patients to be evaluated when they're not feeling well," says Dr. Mansour Assar, an interventional cardiologist. more

Six Feet Under bass player Terry Butler has revealed to Blabbermouth.net that he and drummer Greg Gall have quit the band (Butler will be playing with Obituary). more

The members of Bonded By Blood are all doing fine after a van accident that had occurred this past weekend. Bassist, Jerry Garcia updated fans on the situation with a statement written on his Tumblr page: "We were on our way to Trenton, NJ and our trailer took us for a spin on the highway. We had a great gig last night and we were happy to finally get into the groove of things, unfortunately everything has come to a cold and dreadful stop. I was driving the van on our way to New Jersey when we suddenly skid across the road and nearly hit a wall. Unfortunately our f**king trailer flipped over and broke off the hinge!" more
