(Gibson) 73-year-old singer Etta James has a terminal illness. Doctors diagnosed the rock legend with leukemia earlier in the year but have now announced that her illness is incurable, according to the Riverside Press Enterprise.A court battle is in full swing between her husband Artis Mills and her son Donto James for control of her estate, estimated at over $1 million.
The blues and soul singer, who fought heroin addiction in the '70s, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and was played by Beyoncι in the 2008 movie Cadillac Records.
