Muse To Change Things Up With New Album

12/16/2011
.
(Banana 101.5) One of the most anticipated album of 2012 is the in-the-works disc from UK three-piece Muse. The band has always had an innovative alt-rock sound, but they're looking to push the boundaries even further with their sixth full-length album.

Muse have really established themselves at the forefront of alternative rock over the past few years. The band's range covers everything riff-driven rockers like 'Supermassive Black Hole' and 'Stockholm Syndrome' to piano driven alt-pop like 'Starlight' — they even went for operatic grandeur on their latest record 'The Resistance.' Though they have tackled so many different styles already, bassist Chris Wolstenholme recently told Kerrang ! that it's time to change things up:

"[The band] feel like we are drawing a line under a certain period of what we've done in our career. It feels like it's time to move on and do something radically different. But then you could get into the studio and go back to what you're comfortable with. You get in the studio and there's a natural process and you have to see where a song will take you." more on this story
