(RockAAA) Puddle of Mudd have released their version of the Rolling Stones 'Gimme Shelter as the first single from their new covers album Re:(disc)overed. The album is set to hit stores on August 30 and is comprised of 11 songs which had great influence on the band as they were growing up.
Recording songs by iconic artists such as Free, Elton John, Neil Young and Bad Company can be a daunting task, but guitarist Paul Phillips was keen to deliver something which paid homage to the originals rather than try to reinvent. He said: "Our goal in interpreting these songs was to pay more tribute rather than reinvent." more on this story
