(RockAAA) Kid Rock is considering ditching the country feel of his most recent record for a return to his rap-rock roots. His most recent effort, 'Born Free,' was released in November but Kid Rock is hoping to wrap up it's successor by next summer and he is plotting a return to the sound and feel of his 2001 hit record 'Cocky.'In an interview with Southtown Star Rock explains: "I think 'Born Free' was kind of a transitional record with (producer) Rick Rubin and going into the rootsy, American blues-rock 'n' roll vibe.
"I'd kind of like to go back to something like maybe a 'Cocky' feel," Kid Rock said, alluding to his 2001 album that was heavy on Southern rock." more on this story
