It's about reassuring her that she's more important than anything that success and fame can offer, regardless of how glamorous they seem. She'll never be replaced, because nothing can compare to true love.

This song doesn't just apply to me, though. I like to picture a story about a soldier coming home from war to see his wife. He crosses the world to get back to her, and when he finally makes it, he tells her he's there to stay.

Someday, I'll be able to be like that soldier. I'll be able to come home and stay for good. But until that day comes, I need my girl to have faith in my love.
