(Gibson) The Flaming Lips and Death Cab for Cutie will release a joint EP in the near future, if an interview between members of the two bands and Spinner is to be believed. The website was interviewing Ben Gibbard and Nick Harmer from Death Cab at the Osheaga festival when Lips frontman Wayne Coyne came up with a proposition.It turns out that the Death Cab guys didn't need much convincing. It happened like this:
Coyne: "So we should find a way to do a Flaming Lips/Death Cab three- or four-song EP."
