(Gibson) Muse are soon heading to the studio to begin work on their sixth album. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme told the BBC, "September and October, that's when we're going to get into the studio to start writing the new album."Recent years have seen Muse go stellar. Muse's last album, 2009's The Resistance, won a Grammy Award for best rock album. The trio of singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy, bassist Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard have been touring this summer at numerous festivals.
Wolstenholme says that live gigs are still in their plans, despite increasingly elaborate albums. "We're always going to be the kind of band that want to get out and play live," Wolstenholme explained. "As the years go on there's that temptation to cut the touring down less and less but we still love playing live. I can't ever imagine we'll be the kind of band that cut the touring down significantly." But after songs from The Resistance leaked after Muse's pre-album live shows of 2009, Muse now plan to keep any new songs under wraps until release. more on this story
