(RockAAA) Alexisonfire have announced they are to split. Posting an announcement on their official website, lead vocalist George Pettit suggested that the decision to part ways was forced by guitarists Dallas Green and Wade McNeillIn a lengthy statement to fans Pettit got straight to the point in his opening line: "There is no good way to put it so I'm just going to say it. After 10 years, Alexisonfire has decided to part ways. I'm going to try to give you the facts about this as best as I can."
He cited guitarist's Dallas Green's decision to concentrate his time with his other band City and Colour, something which he informed the other members of over a year ago, started to divide the band and that their search for a replacement was proving difficult. The final nail in the coffin, however, was hammered home by Wade McNeill who informed them that he was taking up the offer of joining another (unnamed) band. more on this story
