(Gibson) Mastodon fans will get a little extra for their money when they pick up new album The Hunter (due September 27 in the U.S.). Most editions of the album will come with a 3D game.The virtual reality game is called Augmented Reality and was produced by Total Immersion. It "combines virtual and real worlds to create a 3D one-of-a-kind interactive experience that users can control," says a press release. One feature: you can put your own face on the album's cover art.
The Hunter will be available as a single CD, in a CD/DVD set that includes music videos for "Black Tongue" and "Deathbound" and a direct-to-fans set that includes two bonus tracks and a 20" by 30" poster of the album cover. more on this story
